Tend exists so your family can coordinate a parent's care in one calm place. That only works if you trust us with what you put here. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect

  • Your account: your email address and a password (stored hashed, never readable by us).
  • What you enter: your name, your family circle, and the care details your family chooses to keep in Tend: appointments, medicine names and schedules, to-dos, and the activity feed those create.

That's it. No location tracking, no contacts upload, no advertising identifiers, no analytics brokers.

What we never do

  • We never sell your data or share it with advertisers.
  • We never use your family's care details for anything except showing them to your family.
  • We never store medical records or diagnoses. Tend holds scheduling details only, and we ask you to keep it that way.

Who can see your circle

Only people who join your family circle with your invite code. Access is enforced at the database level: every record is scoped to your circle, and no other family can ever read it.

Where it lives

Your data is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider, on servers in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account any time from The Circle tab in the app. That removes your sign-in and your membership immediately. Care details you added stay with your family, so one sibling leaving never erases the family's records. If your whole family wants everything gone, email us and we'll erase the circle completely.

Not medical advice

Tend is an organizer, not a medical service. Nothing in the app is medical advice. For anything about your parent's health, talk to their doctor.
